Paul Winske Award Winner: Robert G. Sidorsky DVM
For many people with disabilities, their companion animals are a vital part of their lives. But getting medical care for them isn't always easy, especially in Franklin where transportation options are limited. Dr. Sidorsky bases his whole practice on house calls, allowing disable folks the chance to get first-rate veterinary care without having to worry about the travel.
Every year Stavros sends a survey to consumers asking for nominations for local places that really go the extra mile for people with disabilities. A dedicated group of staff and volunteers review the nominations and conduct site visits. Although we know no place is perfect these are the places we found to have done wonderful things for access.
